About this event

The Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center’s 2023 Annual Gathering will take place August 14-16 in Indianapolis. This year, the Annual Gathering will have a special focus on urban climate resilience, an area of research in which MW CASC consortium member Indiana University is a regional leader.

As always, we’ll highlight core components of the MW CASC’s work, including our approach to synthesis research, best practices in coproduction, and innovative climate adaptation science. We’ll also discuss efforts to broaden and deepen our engagement across the region.

The Annual Gathering is open to the entire MW CASC community, including researchers, students, current and prospective partners, and faculty at consortium member institutions. Attendees will learn about innovative climate adaptation research projects, meet potential collaborators, hone skills in community engagement, and hear from adaptation leaders in the Midwest. Sessions tailored to students and early career researchers will provide opportunities to practice effective science communication and connect with mentors in different fields.

We hope you can join us!
